Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those in long-term care, home care, and memory care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavior management and dementia care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our clients. Must be able to lift or use a lift chair.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Document daily activities, changes in client condition, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
Requirements.
- Certification in First Aid is desirable but not Mandatory
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A compassionate approach towards caregiving with a commitment to enhancing client quality of life.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug screen.
