Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders in an inpatient setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacologic and therapeutic interventions
- Conduct daily patient rounds, assessments, and progress evaluations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and case managers
- Provide crisis intervention and manage acute psychiatric episodes
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of care with outpatient providers
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to best practices in behavioral health
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of West Virginia
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric care
- Interest in treating diverse populations, including dual diagnosis or substance use disorders
