The Allina Health Cancer Institute in Minneapolis is seeking a Thoracic Medical Oncologist to join a mission-driven organization committed to delivering innovative, high-quality, patient-centered cancer care. This position offers a primary focus on thoracic oncology, with flexibility to care for additional solid tumor populations based on physician interest and program needs.

Practice Highlights:

  • Full-time Thoracic Medical Oncology position with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
  • Primary practice location at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, serving as a metro hub
  • Established team of 9 oncologists and 9 advanced practice providers
  • Thoracic surgeons and radiation oncologists co-located in the same clinic.
  • Whole patient centered care with a variety of services, including nurse navigation, social work, mental health services, patient financial navigators, palliative care, and integrative medicine
  • Opportunities for education and teaching with internal medicine residents through didactic and clinical experiences

Job Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Hematology/Oncology fellowship training program required.
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges
