Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse Practitioner Job with Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN

Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at IU West Hospital in Avon, IN. In this inpatient and outpatient setting, you will work collaboratively with our physicians to provide comprehensive care to a diverse population of adolescents and women of all ages.

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Days
• Monday-Friday 8-hour days
• No weekends, holidays, or call
• 100% Outpatient
  
  

Procedures:

• Procedures include IUD insertions, Birth control implant insertions, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, Incision & drainage
  
  

Job Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans for OB/GYN patients
• Testing and Diagnostics: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions
• Documentation: Accurately documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care in electronic medical records
• Education: Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care.
• Follow-up: Providing follow-up care to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Collaboration: Working closely with physician and collaborators and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
  
  

Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a focus on women's health or OB/GYN or Physician Assistant (PA) with OB/GYN outpatient experience
• At least 3 years of clinical APP experience working in Women's Health / OBGYN
• Preferably experience in OBGYN outpatient setting of family practice with gynecological experience
• New Grads- experience in labor and delivery is a plus
• Experience inserting IUD's and implants
• Active state licensure and certificate
• Strong clinical skills and experience in an OB/GYN setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient centered care
