Gynecology Physician Job with Veterans Health Administration in Martinsburg, WV

• Manages difficult outpatient, inpatient and operative gynecology cases and makes expert recommendations to the Chief of Surgery regarding definitive management of these cases.
• Provides immediate evaluation and management of of emergent problems as they occur to individuals presented for care.
• Provides professional advice to medical staff upon request, in emergency situations, with regard to the professional management of patients being treated.
• Provides professional service requiring a full range of inpatient and outpatient gynecology services consistent with the hospitals capabilities including gynecological surgery.
• Provides medical services and diagnostic procedures that are clear, concise, and in keeping with modern medical terminology.
• Responsible for all administrative activities normally associated with patient care in a hospital setting such as consults, encounters, PEER and legal reviews.
• Maintains required continued Medical Education through conferences, reading programs or other approved CME events.
• Facilitates patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): May be authorized

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
