The practice focuses on general surgery cases, such as breast surgery, colon surgery, and hernia surgery using laparoscopic techniques. Through its partnership with North Carolina Surgery, the practice’s patients will have easy access to a network of more than three dozen surgeons who can provide resources for complex cases.
The practice currently consists of three physicians (MDs) and two advanced practice providers, with an additional APP to be hired. Average patient volume ranges from approximately 80 to 120 patients per month, and the position includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible and comfortable performing the full scope of general surgery procedures. The role offers a competitive compensation package including bonus opportunities.
Practice hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a call schedule of 1:3.

Responsibilities:
- Provides professional medical services to patients.
- Exercises independent professional judgment in the care and treatment of patients.
- Orders and prescribes medical treatment, diagnostic testing, nursing care, and other health and medical services. Prescribes medically appropriate pharmaceuticals.
- Consults and counsels with patients and families. Provides health and medical education to patients and families.
- Refers patients as needed to appropriate medical specialists and other health care professionals to assure appropriate multidisciplinary care is provided.
- Documents medical and clinical care in the patient's medical record. Assigns the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to permit third-party insurance billing.
- Supervises other medical professionals.
- Adheres to the principles of medical ethics.
