MercyOne Genesis isseekinga highly skilled and autonomous Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Pulmonary Critical Care team in a dedicated nocturnist role. This position provides overnight, on-site coverage at our Davenport campus, supporting ICU patients and collaborating with pulmonologists to ensure high-quality, continuous care.
This is a key role focused onmaintainingstability and continuity of care overnight, with a strong emphasis on independent clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive overnight coverage for ICU patients at the Davenport campus
- Perform cross-coverage and ongoing management of critically ill patients
- Respond to acute changes in patient condition, including rapid responses and codes
- Collaborate with on-call pulmonologists as needed while functioning with a high degree of autonomy
- Perform procedures within scope of practice (e.g., central lines, arterial lines, intubations - depending on experience and privileging)
- Ensureaccurate,timelydocumentation in the electronic medical record
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support continuity of care through thorough handoffs to daytime teams
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board certification as an NP or PA
- Active or eligible for licensure in Iowa
- Minimum of 1-2 years of ICU, critical care, or pulmonary experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in a high-acuity environment
- Strong procedural skills preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Three overnight shifts per week (Friday-Sunday, 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
