Stamping Press Set-Up & Operator

PPS is seeking a mechanically inclined Stamping Press Set-Up & Operator at our metal fabrication facility in Parma! The Stamping Press Set-Up & Operator is primarily responsible for setting up and operating multiple stamping presses.This is a full-time, permanent, contract to hire position with second-to-none benefits including profit-sharing bonuses, PTO, 401K matching, tuition reimbursement, and an on-site gym!Responsibilities: Set-up and operate numerous stamping machines within the department.Perform tooling changes based on job order specifications.Read blueprints and/or written instructions and load raw materials into machine.Maintain an eye for quality on all parts produced on the machine using visual inspection and precision measurement instruments.Attendance and punctuality are a critical job function.The Ideal Candidate Will Possess: Two years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment.Possess the ability to be trained to use blueprints.Must be able to follow written and verbal directions and retain information.Hold themself accountable for a high level of performance.Pay close attention to detail and have ability to use measuring tools.Work efficiently and demonstrate the ability to multitask.Communicate clearly, effectively and professionally on all levels.High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walkMust be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
