What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Documentation Specialist position at PPS-HPS?
PPS is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Documentation Specialist for our century old manufacturing operation in Parma, Ohio. The employee will be tasked with counting, inspecting, and packaging final products and preparing them for shipment. This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire role with excellent benefits (on-site gym!) and room for advancement!
Responsibilities:
- Follow written and oral work instructions as required by customer specifications
- Counting, separating, labeling, and packaging of product
- Inspect completed product to ensure compliance with all customer specifications
- Determine shipping method requirements
- Enter data in ERP system to ensure real time accuracy of material status
- Manage outgoing shipping activities to ensure conformance to requirements of international standards, company or customer policy, customer specifications, and customer web applications
- Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of quality system
- Packaging of delicate medical components
- Other miscellaneous tasks are assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capacity
- Strong organizational skills and excellent follow through
- Strong technical capacity
- Ability to follow SOP's and communicate effectively
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook preferred
