Production Designer (Prepress / Flexographic Printing)

We’re looking for a Production Designer to create and prepare artwork for flexographic and digital printing. This role blends graphic design with technical prepress work—ensuring every file is accurate, print-ready, and optimized for production.

What You’ll Do

• Design and layout artwork based on job specifications
• Prepare and check files for flexographic and digital printing
• Perform color separations, trapping, and stepping
• Color-correct and optimize images for print
• Create plate-ready files and support prepress workflows
• Print contract proofs and mock-ups
• Review artwork for printability and troubleshoot issues
• Organize and track multiple jobs to meet tight deadlines
• Communicate with customers regarding artwork and print concerns
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, and Customer Service teams
• Continuously learn and adapt to production processes and systems

What You’ll Need

• Strong experience with Adobe Illustrator (CC) and Photoshop
• Ability to work on a Mac-based system
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of prepress concepts (color, trapping, print setup)
• Willingness to learn and grow in a production environment
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1–3 years of design or graphics-related experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Insite, Kodak Prinergy, or Esko software
• Background in printing, packaging, or prepress workflows
