Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to run conduit, pull wire, and install fixtures according to schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Measure electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality.
- Support the setup and troubleshooting of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Learn about framing carpentry as it relates to electrical installations within building structures.
Skills
- Previous experience with residential or commercial electrician work is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems and high voltage safety practices.
- Experience working with NEC standards for electrical installations.
- Basic understanding of Ohmmeters for measuring resistance and troubleshooting circuits.
