About the Role
Our client, a major electrical transmission and distribution contractor based in Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Field Engineer / QA/QC to support quality assurance and quality control activities on civil construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career construction professional looking to build a long-term career in construction quality, field engineering, and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced project teams to perform field inspections, review construction drawings, document project activities, and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Assist with field inspections on active civil construction projects.
- Review construction drawings and project specifications.
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate project records.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer applications to prepare reports and track project data.
- Work with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to support quality control efforts.
- Verify work is performed in accordance with project requirements and company quality standards.
- Travel to project sites throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
- 0–3 years of experience in civil construction, field engineering, construction inspection, materials testing, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred but not required.
- Internship, co-op, or field experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work outdoors on active construction sites.
