Responsibilities
- Network Architecture & Engineering Leadership: Design and architect complex LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and hybrid cloud solutions. Serve as the final Tier 3 technical escalation for complex or recurring network issues.
- Solutions Architecture & Pre-Sales Support: Participate in pre-sales discovery and design calls. Translate requirements into high-level architectures and validate technical feasibility and risk before solutions are sold.
- Standardization & Quality: Develop and maintain reference architectures for firewalls, SD-WAN, and segmentation. Ensure solutions align with security best practices and compliance requirements like HIPAA and PCI.
- Implementation Oversight: Provide technical oversight during complex implementations and validate that deployed solutions match approved designs.
- Security & Compliance: Design and review firewall and security architectures, evaluating risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Experience
- 5 years of progressive network engineering experience.
- Experience in MSP or multi-tenant environments is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience designing (not just implementing) complex networks.
Technical Skills & Mandatory Certifications
- Expert-level experience with Fortinet security architecture.
- Must hold an active Fortinet NSE 4 certification.
- Fortinet NSE 7 is highly preferred.
- Advanced routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- SD-WAN design and deployment.
- Network segmentation, High Availability (HA), and security best practices.
- Strong documentation and diagramming skills.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to guide conversations with clients and sales teams.
- Sound technical judgment, risk awareness, and a mentorship mindset.
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
