Quality Technician
Position Overview
The Quality Technician will work to improve product quality for existing and future products. They will be called upon to follow quality assurance procedures where recording data, generating reports, and analyzing data/reports will be key functions. They will utilize, maintain, and organize documents. They will collaborate in creating test fixtures and writing procedures.
An ideal candidate would be an experienced Quality Technician with a self-starter attitude and an aptitude for hands-on activities, and problem solving with good judgment.
The Quality Technician will report to the Quality Engineer Supervisor and work at our Post Falls, ID location.
Job Responsibilities
· Assist with the implementation of quality improvement measures.
· Perform parts inspections and vendor reviews as part of incoming quality programs.
· Perform verification and validation tests to assist with new product development.
· Interpret data and report findings from testing.
· Assist in development of production SOPs.
· Design and fabricate test fixturing.
· Create protypes by 3D printing and metal fabrication.
Qualifications
· Associates degree (or higher) in ME (Mechanical Engineering) or related field preferred
· Prior experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical data sheets.
· Experience with 3D modeling software (Solidworks, OnShape).
· Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to achieve goals under minimal supervision.
· Able to effectively communicate technical information, both orally and in writing.
· Ability to perform repetitive work with extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, twisting, or lifting
· Lift 30 lbs. multiple times per day.
· Ability to pass a background check.
