GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
All Packers report directly to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and are responsible for packing all truck hardware or railroad product as assigned to orders. Perform all safety, quality, and assembly functions utilizing both verbal and written work instructions
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) certificate, as well as at least six months of sit down forklift diving experience. Hands-on knowledge of proper welding principles and techniques is helpful.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to use tape measures, hydraulic tipping tubs, elastic bander, basic hand tools, and packing equipment
- Able to drive the fork truck when necessary
- Must be able to lift 15-20 lbs repeatedly throughout the work day
- Must be able to stand long periods of time
- Must be able to run scales
- Must be able to read and write and complete basic math functions
- Adherence to all elements of quality management system
- Other miscellaneous activities as required
