Our Signal Hill location is looking for a detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Coordinator to support our operations and ensure we stay compliant, organized, and audit-ready.

Position Overview

This role is focused on safety, DOT compliance, and driver-related documentation. The Safety & Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining regulatory files, tracking driver and vehicle requirements, supporting safety programs, and assisting with insurance and DMV-related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & DOT Compliance

  • Maintain and audit Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Track and monitor expiration dates for:
    • Medical cards
    • Driver’s licenses
    • Clearinghouse statuses
    • Required training and certifications
  • Assist with DOT inspections, internal audits, and compliance documentation
  • File and organize safety meeting sign-ins, training records, and policy acknowledgments

Driver Clearinghouse & Driver Records

  • Manage FMCSA Driver Clearinghouse queries (pre-employment and annual)
  • Support driver onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with management on driver eligibility and documentation follow-ups

DMV & Vehicle Documentation

  • Track DMV registrations, renewals, and vehicle-related documentation
  • Maintain organized records for company vehicles and trailers
  • Assist with documentation related to fleet compliance and inspections

Insurance & Claims Support

  • Assist with vehicle insurance claims, documentation gathering, and follow-ups
  • Maintain claim files and communicate with internal teams as needed
  • Support incident documentation related to safety and fleet operations

Administrative & Cross-Team Support

  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Assist with internal checklists, trackers, and compliance calendars
  • Support HR and Operations with documentation as needed

 

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in compliance, safety, operations, office coordination, or administrative support 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with digital systems and document tracking
  • Experience with DOT or FMCSA compliance
  • Familiarity with Driver Clearinghouse
  • Exposure to fleet, safety, or insurance documentation

 

Salary : $20 - $28
