What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strength and Conditioning Coach position at Power Source?
Would you love a career in coaching?
If you have a background in athletics and a strong desire to be a positive role model and mentor to today's youth, we will train you on how to become an excellent sports performance coach!
At Power Source, our coaches work with groups of up to 12 athletes per hour, teaching them proper training techniques to improve their speed, strength, and athleticism.
Although most people in the field have a degree in exercise science or a related field, we do not require that here. What we value most in our coaches are:
- A strong work ethic
- An eagerness to learn and apply what you're taught
- A fun and positive personality
- A powerful mentor streak, meaning you are willing to do the hard work of guiding a wide range of personalities to develop the habits they need for success.
Candidates who have been active in athletics, whether male or female, are preferred. The position is ideal for former college athletes, or high school coaches.
Imagine working a job that you genuinely look forward to, where you have fun while making a real difference in the lives of others.
Role Description
New coaches start in part-time roles with us as you learn the technical aspects of training, workout design, and more. Equally important is how a new coach meshes with our culture and our approach, as things often move at a fast pace. Because we value the right fit so strongly in our program, we spend a lot of time working through a structured onboarding process.
For the right fit, part-time roles expand into full-time. The nature of our business allows us to expand to new opportunities when we have staff that is capable of handling greater responsibilities while staying true to the approach that has allowed us to succeed in a very challenging industry for a quarter century.
This is an on-site position.
