PPHL: League Scheduler
Power Play Hockey League (PPHL) is actively seeking candidates for the position of League Scheduler. PPHL is the regional leader in New England for recreational adult hockey leagues. To help facilitate our current size (and projected growth) we are creating this new position within our organization. The league scheduler will play a critical role in our operations and will be responsible for ensuring that each season begins on time with a complete schedule. We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills, the capacity to learn new systems quickly, and the ability to work seamlessly with multiple internal customers to deliver finished schedules in advance of season start dates. Previous scheduling experience is strongly preferred for this position – this experience can include other industries (healthcare, high volume service businesses, etc). This position is part time (20 hours per week), with 3, 2 week periods during the year (currently in MAY, SEP, JAN) of 40 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
20 Hours per week (during non-schedule building weeks)
- Daily coordination of the reconciliation process between all of our platforms (Avario scheduling software, PPHL website, 3rdparty game officials website)
- Daily verification that all PPHL games have full coverage for game officials
- Weekly: Confirm that all unused ice rentals have been cancelled and communicated properly to each rink. If not, communicate directly with regional management team to ensure utilization of these rental hours with other PPHL programs
*Schedule Creation/Building Weeks
- Set up the process for all regions for schedule creation
- Communication to rinks with expected ice rental needs
- Complete the PPHL website process for mapping codes
- Generate complete game schedule for all regions to be given to regional management for adjustment and approval
Miscellaneous duties (assigned as determined by business needs)

- Various administrative support tasks
*Occasional travel may be required (mileage reimbursement will be paid if personal vehicle is used)
