Assembly Technician

Position Summary
Power Monitors, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for assembling electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products in accordance with detailed work instructions and quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong manual dexterity, experience in electronics manufacturing, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, assembly instructions, schematics, and verbal directions
- Place and align electronic components (resistors, sockets, connectors, etc.) on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Crimp, screw, bolt, rivet, solder, and secure components using hand and power tools
- Route and solder wires and harnesses to circuit boards and other components
- Perform wire stripping, tinning, bonding, drilling, curing, and cleaning tasks
- Install completed assemblies into enclosures and attach required hardware
- Operate assembly equipment and related machinery safely and efficiently
- Conduct quality inspections using magnification tools, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment
- Identify and report defects, discrepancies, or process issues to a supervisor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of electronics assembly or related manufacturing experience
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high accuracy standards
Preferred:
- Experience reading basic schematics or technical drawings
- Familiarity with IPC standards
