Field Technician (Boiler Controls)

Field Technician Responsibilities:

• On-site installations (boiler controls)
• On-site troubleshooting controller boxes
• Internet configuration (all boilers are connected to the internet)
• Product support
• Customer relations

Field Technician Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience with building management systems OR 2 years of experience in technical field work
• Familiarity with boiler control wiring, low voltage cabling, and working knowledge of conduit, fittings, and line voltage wiring.
• The desire to learn and develop a deep knowledge of Building Automation Systems using advanced products of a major automation system manufacturer
• The desire for continued career development, product knowledge, varied industry experience
• Good communication and customer relationship skills
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work on a team under the direction of senior engineers and managers
• Current, valid, and clean NYS driver’s license (7 years' clean driving record) to drive company vehicles
• OSHA 30 or 40 training a plus

 New job specific skills will be taught with on-the-job experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time

The customers we support include large and small commercial facilities, hotels, hospitals, multi-family residential, schools and many others. Work is primarily in the NY City Metropolitan area, and we are actively developing customers in other cities.

Salary Range $17 - $20/hour
