Rock Drilling Tools Parts Sales Support Representative (RDT/PSSR)

Objective:                                                                      

The RDT/PSSR position is primarily responsible for supporting our customers in the drilling industry with their maintenance and consumable parts needs.  In doing so, the role will serve to develop, retain, and grow the RDT parts business by maximizing customer satisfaction and product confidence for the manufacturers offered through Power Equipment Co. This will primarily occur because of regular customer job site, shop or maintenance facility visits while promoting all applicable Power Equipment Company product support offerings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1)   Develop & Maintain excellent customer relationships, i.e.: External, Internal

• Develop and maintain relationships with the proper Customer personnel.  
• Pass along leads to assigned PECO CSR / CSM should the need arise for additional support such as complete machine inspection, Service estimates, machine repair scheduling or PM agreements to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Take ownership of customer parts issues and follow-up through closure of issues.
• Scheduling of preventative maintenance and repairs associated with Company supplied vehicle to ensure proper and continuous safe operation. It is the responsibility of the RDT/PSSR to maintain the cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.

2)    Customer Location Visits

• Visit Customer jobsite shop or maintenance facilities to observe and develop an awareness of the potential parts or service needs and record information into computer database (CRMseries)
• Become familiar with Customer machines & applications.
• Respond to all Customer request courteously and professionally in a timely and responsive manner.

3)   Utilize existing software programs (such as CRM) to create and maintain Customer and machine data

• Machine files are to reflect make, model, serial number, smu, etc.
• Customer files are to reflect address, contact names, email address, phones, etc.
• Call files are to reflect date, contact name, subject discussed, opportunities, etc.
• The frequency of Customer visits will be set in CRMseries by the PAR system under Parts Representative, to be determined by General Product Support Manager (Mid TN) region and Branch Parts Manager.

4)   Market PECO Product Support Programs (PSP’s), Service & Parts

• Present & promote PSPs endorsed by PECO which are conducive to enhancing its core products satisfaction and confidence.
• Work in conjunction with assigned branch Parts Manager, CSR’s (CSM) in promoting PSP’s.
• Insure that all Customers within assigned territory are familiar with available PECO products and services.
• Participate in PSP events, training and promotions.

5)   Product Focus: Epiroc Down the Hole Hammers (DTH), Top Hammer Drilling Accessories

• Provide scheduled delivery and support of rock drilling accessories.
• Maintain up to date and accurate tool inventory for mobile delivery.
• Conduct and record onsite operational machine inspections to identify potential machine, setup or production deficiencies.
• Participate / facilitate tool accessories performance, wear and application efficiency comparison test.
• Remain up to date on new products, continue to develop the knowledge and skills to become the industry expert as it pertains to all RDT product offerings and solutions.

PSSR Qualifications:

• Relative 2 yr. College Degree or Technical/Diesel College Graduate or relative Military Training Program minimum or 5 yrs. utility/construction/mining / drilling equipment industry experience.  
• Mid- Level Computer experience (MS Office, CRMseries, DOS, etc.)
• Prior industry repair/maintenance shop management experience preferred.
• Positive personality, team player, problem solver, self-starter, outstanding integrity, superior communicator.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and able to travel overnight periodically for product training or company related business.
• Must pass background check, employment physical and drug screen.
