Requirements:
- College graduate, ideally with Communications, Social Media, PR, English, Journalism or related focus
- A MUST: Minimum 2 years of PR/social media agency experience managing social media accounts and/or pitching and securing media placements or top-university graduate with related experience
- Experience with social media strategy, content creation, content calendars, video editing, template design, paid boosting campaigns,
- Experience pitching and securing national and local media placements, ideally in the industries of design, real estate, luxury or related field; comes with personal media relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook); Cision; MuckRack, social media platforms (Meta, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Canva, Hootsuite, etc.)
- Perfect grammar, strong writing skills
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out PR and social media strategies under direction of account lead, with support on contribution of ideas for strategy
- Drafting social media posts, social media content creation, content calendar development, video editing, REEL creation, layout of designs on Canva templates, development of aesthetic playbooks and original Canva templates
- Researching tags and hashtags per platform, social media scheduling, internal and external approvals, ensuring goals for social media messaging, ensuring accuracy, cadence and scope are met, ensuring deadlines are met
- Creating social media performance reports and highlights to show ROI
- Being on pulse of social media trends, platform changes, optimal uses, tactics and strategies to make informed recommendations for social media campaigns
- Drafting press materials including pitches, releases, advisories, etc. as assigned that reflect news value and positioning in approved company formats, with attention to perfect spelling, fact checking and grammar
- Developing and pitching unique story angles, thought leadership opportunities, that are in-line with client objectives
- Researching media targets and developing media lists, drafting pitch notes, media pitching, coordination such as logging pitch efforts and feedback, monitoring and clipping press placements, creating media updates and highlight reports
- Developing targeted media lists that can reach desired audiences and leverage key messages
- Working daily pitching media and securing impact stories and strategic placements
- Being on the pulse of media trend topics, clients’ industry news, editorial calendars, themes, deadlines, etc. to create opportunities for clients and develop unique media angles
- Manage media logs, reports, clipping/scanning
- Supporting on client service, including constant communication as well as leading client meeting agendas and recaps
- Client contact for updates, gathering information for social media content, pitches, scheduling meetings, or other coordination
- Coordinating details for stories, including ensuring updated and approved materials shared with media as requested and meeting deadlines; coordinating, scheduling and confirming interviews; seeing through any requests until placement is confirmed with proper inclusion for client, runs and is clipped
- Researching event, industry partner or other leads for cross-marketing and co-branding alignments, events, etc. for client positioning in media as well as business development opportunities
This is a hybrid position, with required residence in the Miami area for regular in-person and in-office meetings and collaboration, with some of the work done remotely, honoring assignments and deadlines.
