What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Power Brands?
In this role, you will be responsible for will provide product development support for our Research and Development Department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participates in R&D projects which include the development of new product formulations and product preparation
- Prepare small to medium scale formulation batches of various beverage products
- R&D involvement with scientists: batching samples, evaluating samples, documenting results (calculating pH and Brix conversions)
- Instrument calibration and verification
- Assist with organizing flavor shelves, restocking materials, and cleaning equipment (lab stations)
- Assist scientists in maintaining a record for formulas, specifications, and sensory results that are observed during the product development process
- Accommodate lab scientists with shipping out samples to clients
- Monitor inventory and all other supplies in the lab
- Input data for ingredients and organize documentation into proper digital folders
What to bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least one-year prior workplace laboratory experience. Industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Must possess a fundamental understanding of chemical laboratory equipment; understand cGMPs and GLPs; must work in a safe and efficient manner; excellent attention to detail; good verbal and written communication skills; must be computer literate.
- Must be able to work independently and handle multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
- Must pay close attention to detail
