Job Summary
This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager. Using the Powell ERP system and associated software, the Materials Coordinator will perform administrative and material handling duties to support production activities. Job duties include kitting jobs, issuing parts using the Powell ERP system, assisting with production requests, receiving purchase orders and supporting other Supply Chain activities as needed.
Essential Functions
- Create and maintain staging areas for Highly Engineered jobs.
- Kit and issue Highly Engineered jobs to production.
- Kit and issue sales orders and safety stock jobs to production.
- Notify Production Planner at kit completion.
- Receive purchase orders in Powell's ERP System.
- Cross-trained and proficient in Purchasing and Shipping/Receiving processes to serve as backup for the position.
- Assist in physical inventory counts.
- Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies.
- Assist in warehouse maintenance, organization, and cleanup.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Always follow Powell policies and procedures.

- Must maintain a valid forklift truck license.

Education & Experience
- General math skills obtained through completion of a High School Diploma
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
