Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads and participates in a variety of land survey operations such as boundary, topographic, leveling, construction layout, and establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control networks utilizing a full range of survey equipment.
- Prepare and verify mathematical calculations related to surveying and basic engineering; interpret and compute field data, and evaluate for accuracy and completeness; maintain accurate survey and non-survey related records in form of field notes, reports, and sketches; maintain project files.
- Conduct project research, secure equipment, use safety techniques, perform survey operations, handle and maintain equipment, record survey data, and perform other associated duties for the purpose of delivering a successful project.
- Analyze record data, deeds, and plats for property and boundary control.
- Track and maintain survey supplies such as stakes and supplies.
- Ensure safety devices are present and in use as appropriate.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level.

- Knowledge of a wide variety of surveying field operation methods including but not limited to: traversing; triangulation; repeating observations; steel tape measurements; construction layout methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of robotic total stations, GPS, digital levels, and laser scanning.
- Read graphic instructions

- Training subordinates on work methods
- Prepare reports and written documents, including charts, schedules, and maps
- Communicate and use interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc., to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Three years of survey related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid driver license.
- OSHA 10 Safety training

You must have experience working in the land surveying field.
