The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Please note that this posting is for an ELIGIBILITY POOL only. As positions become available, candidates may be contacted directly by school sites.
Requirements / Qualifications
CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: A valid California Multiple Subject Credential or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching in the assignment. In addition, credentialed teachers must have one of the following: - Child Development Teacher Permit - At least 24 units in Child Development and/or Early Childhood Education - Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable tot he 24 units of education described in bullet 2 (comparability determined by the local employing agency) For more information regarding these requirements, go to: https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/assignment-resources/transitional-kindergarten
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Applicants must have an English Learner authorization in order to be considered for the position. 2. Copy of California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching in the assignment. 3. Copy of Child Development Permit - Teacher Level or higher (if applicable), if applicable. 4. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring); if qualifying with CD or ECE units, the transcripts must show the 24 units. 4. Current resume. 5. Letter of introduction, addressed to Ricardo Ceceña, Director of Human Resources. 6. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position, are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching. 7. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 8.
