About us
Pounds Transformation is a private medical practice specializing in non-surgical weight loss and metabolic rehabilitation in a unique and sustainable manner. Our offices are currently located in Southington, West Hartford and Glastonbury.
We are seeking an energetic, compassionate and team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing practice. The candidate needs to be capable of multi-tasking and be able to work in all our locations although their primary position will be in West Hartford.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepares patients charts for providers by maintaining all necessary orders are in the chart prior to their visit
- Accurately perform & document patients vitals, reconciling medications, etc.
- Obtain lab work as requested by medical provider
- Maintains a clear understanding of the patient flow so that all providers receive their patients on time, understanding time management
- Answering phone calls & scheduling patient appointments
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedure, reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by working well and communicating effectively with co-workers.
- Medication prior-authorizations
Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, we see patients from 8 am – 6 pm. This is the perfect schedule for the individual looking for work/life balance with 3 day weekends, every week! We offer a competitive compensation package with benefits

Qualifications: basic computer skills, Excellent communication skills, experience with EMR (Prefer Athena).
