What are the responsibilities and job description for the Poultney Elementary School-Long-Term Sub Second Grade Teacher position at Poultney Elementary School?
Poultney Elementary School-Long-Term Sub Second Grade Teacher -PoES School is seeking an anticipated long-term substitute for 2nd grade,for the months of November through March, 2027 (tentative). Our school serves approximately 215 students, grades PreK-6.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes;
● Knowledge of elementary research-based best practices in literacy and mathematics
● Knowledge of MTSS and layered instructional practices including data collection
● Knowledge of proficiency-based grading practices
● Knowledge of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards
● Knowledge of technology integration into the learning environment
● Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
● Knowledge of formative and summative curricular assessments and use of data to inform
instruction.
● Knowledge of best practices to support student social-emotional needs including regulation,
restorative, and proactive approaches
● Evidence of strong connection with students and families
● Strong communication skills as evidenced through a quality application
● Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
Salary Range: $47,444-$97,260(Prorated per number of work days)
