Job Summary
Growing cafe seeking candidates to assist in part time ware washing and food preparation. Successful candidate will have dish room experience in a restaurant setting and basic food preparation skills. Candidate will be familiar with food safety and sanitation best practices. Servsafe Certification preferred.
Work schedule will be primarily between 8am-3pm Tuesday-Saturday. Please do not apply if you are unable to work during these times.
Responsibilities
- Ware washing during service times ensuring all items are properly cleaned/sanitized and placed in their proper storage areas.
- Supply Chef and Barista with all dishes and utensils requested in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
- Buss tables and assist with serving food during events or busy periods.
- Ensure that bus tub in dining area is emptied and replaced as needed.
- Sweep and mop kitchen area and dining room.
- Take our garbages in kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality meals.
- Maintain good personal hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and guests.
