Job Duties/Requirements:

Ruby’s Southern Comfort Kitchen seeks to hire crew members that will help the restaurant function successfully.  Crew members will also greet customers as they walk into the establishment, take their orders, and answer customer inquiries about the menu. These professionals will also clean the restaurant, take phone orders, stock items, and assist with food packaging and preparation. To do well in this position, you need excellent interpersonal skills and physical stamina, an understanding of the restaurant menu, and the ability to adhere to health and safety regulations. Crew members are required to report any serious incidents to upper management, such as machine failure or broken items. Crew members are also asked to perform other duties as assigned/requested.

Please note: These positions are full-time and part-time. This position will require some weekend and holiday shifts.

Essential Functions:

• Greet customers upon arrival.

• Inform customers of any specials or promotions running currently.

• Answer any questions the customers might have.

• Take orders with accuracy.

• Repeat orders to customers to ensure they are correct.

• Accept payment and accurately supply change, when needed.

• Direct complaints and concerns to the Manager.

• Ensure food is packaged correctly and delivered to customers.

• Check with customers to ensure their overall satisfaction.

• Thank customers for their business and invite them to return.

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized dining room and service area.

• Complete all side work at the end of their shift.

• Comply with all health and food safety regulations at all times.

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old.

High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. 

Prior experience is preferred, but not required.

Must be able to pass a Level II background check.
