Position Summary

Potential Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and mission-minded Middle School Science/Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This teacher will primarily serve students in middle school, helping them grow academically, spiritually, and personally within a warm, Christ-centered school community.

The ideal candidate will help students build strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills while integrating biblical principles into instruction and classroom culture.

Responsibilities

The Middle School Science/Math Teacher will:

• Teach middle school science and math courses.
• Develop engaging, meaningful lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application.
• Create a classroom environment where students feel known, supported, challenged, and encouraged.
• Integrate biblical principles naturally into instruction and classroom culture.
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and classroom participation.
• Maintain accurate records of grades and student performance.
• Establish and maintain clear expectations for behavior, effort, and academic performance.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and school administration regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to support student success.
• Participate in faculty meetings, school events, chapel services, and other activities that strengthen the PCA community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, or a related field required.
• Teaching experience at the middle school or high school level preferred.
• Florida teaching certification preferred or willingness/ability to obtain certification.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• A heart for students and a commitment to Christian education.
• Ability to work well as part of a collaborative and supportive faculty team.

Pay: $45,152.42 - $54,377.11 per year
