Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Utilize tools such as multimeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and perform necessary repairs.
- Repair appliances related to HVAC/R systems and perform plumbing tasks associated with system installations or repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation for all maintenance activities performed.
- Assist in the installation of new HVAC equipment in compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Support property maintenance efforts by ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Respond promptly to field service requests, providing expert troubleshooting and effective solutions under pressure.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with hands-on knowledge of HVAC/R systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration systems, boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and plumbing.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Experience with equipment repair using tools such as ohmmeters and welding apparatus.
- Familiarity with construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance projects.
- Mechanical experience in appliance repair or boiler operation is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a
driver preferred. - Ability to work in the field independently or as part of a team in diverse environments requiring physical activity such as lifting or climbing ladders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
