What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Potato Corner?
As Assistant Manager, you help run the store day to day alongside the Store Manager — leading people, managing operations, and driving results. You'll be the person-in-charge when the Store Manager is away.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support daily operations, opening/closing, and shift coverage
- Help schedule, train, and develop the crew
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor deliveries
- Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and health-code compliance
- Handle cash management, deposits, and daily sales reporting
- Support hiring and onboarding of new team members
- Help drive sales targets while controlling labor and food costs
- Serve as person-in-charge in the Store Manager's absence
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 1 year of QSR / food-service or retail supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with scheduling, POS, and basic P&L / reporting
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Manager certification a plus (or willing to obtain)
