Position: Admissions Student Worker - Summer
Department: Office of Main Campus Admissions
Reports To: Monique Bolt, Associate Director Main Campus Admissions / Admissions Operations Team
Rate of Pay: Minimum Wage
Position Summary: Summer Admission Student Workers serve as an important part of the Post University Admissions team by providing support with daily operations, prospective student engagement, and special events such as our Daily Information Session & Campus Tours, Summer Orientation Programs, and Summer Preview Days. This role offers valuable professional development while allowing student workers to represent the university to visitors, prospective students, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain accurate data from inquiry cards and prospective student information into university systems.
- Provide welcoming and informative campus tours to prospective students, families, and guests.
- Serve as an Orientation Leader for our new student Summer Orientation Programs.
- Willingness to work on the weekends to give tours during our Information Session & Campus Tours, Summer Preview Day, and Group Tour events.
- Staff the Admissions front desk, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries.
- Assist in preparing materials for campus events, including setup, organization, and breakdown.
- Support Operations Team in managing event-related logistics.
- Participate in call campaigns to prospective and admitted students to provide reminders, event invitations, and general information.
- Assist with mailings, filing, copying, and other clerical tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Serve as a professional and enthusiastic representative of Post University at all times.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Admissions team.
Qualifications:
- Current Post University student in good academic and disciplinary standing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn Admissions processes and serve as a positive representative of the university.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment.
Work Hours:
- Flexible, based on the needs of the Admissions Office and the students’ academic schedule. Evening and weekend hours may be required during special events.
- Willingness to reside on campus during the summer months if you do not live locally. Summer housing will be provided as needed.
