Business Process Expertise
- Deep understanding of manufacturing workflows: production planning, scheduling, inventory, quality control, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with CPG-specific challenges like seasonal demand, shelf-life tracking, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements & Communication
- Skilled in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills
- ERP Systems: JDE, SAP, Oracle; integration with MES.
- MES & SCADA: Knowledge of systems like GE Proficy, Rockwell FactoryTalk.
- Data & Analytics: SQL, Power BI, Tableau; KPI tracking (OEE, yield, downtime).
- Agile & Project Management: Experience with Scrum and managing IT projects.
Manufacturing & Compliance
- Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma principles.
- Regulatory knowledge: FDA, GMP, SOX compliance.
- Traceability & Serialization for product tracking.
- Sustainability initiatives and waste reduction strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
- Strong understanding of respective functional areas and how it interacts with upstream and downstream processes.
- Explore existing system capabilities and new solution technologies in support of business process improvements.
- Participate in business process/department/functional group activities within respective areas on regular basis to understand business needs and challenges to help facilitate improvements.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills – responsible for collaboration sessions needed to document requirements, current and future state processes, and provide thought leadership on how to best use technology to solve business challenges.
- Write functional specification documents and/or user stories from requirements.
- Provide guidance to technical team on functional design, business processes and overall value of solution.
- Act as liaison between business, developers, and project management groups.
- Act as application owner both during application implementation and after it is in service.
- Ensure IT deliverables align with the business requirements with measurable results.
- Ensure that the solution meets acceptance criteria and delivers on business case.
- Work closely with developers to ensure requirements and design are completely understood.
- Work closely with business resources to identify/document current and future state business processes.
- Support testing cycles in collaboration with our business partners – Identify areas to be tested, test scenarios, and testing resources. Ensuring sufficient test scripts and scenarios are identified/created.
- Facilitate cross-functional team efforts to drive root cause analysis and resolution of system issues.
- 3 years of experience as a business systems analyst, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and manufacturing technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Experience with automated data collection, plant visualization, and manufacturing KPI’s.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance in manufacturing IT.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
Salary : $89,506 - $132,468
