What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Recruiter position at Possible?
Founded in 2017 and backed by Canvas, Union Square Ventures, and other top investors, Possible Finance is redefining how people approach small-dollar credit. With over 100,000 App Store reviews averaging 4.8 stars, more than $1 billion delivered to over 1 million customers, and over $500 million saved for borrowers, we’ve proven that responsible, consumer-first lending is possible. As a Public Benefit Corporation, our mission isn’t an accessory—it’s the foundation of every decision we make. We’re building a new kind of consumer finance company with financial health at its core.
If you’re energized by finding exceptional talent, partnering with leaders, and helping build a mission-driven company, this opportunity may be an ideal fit. We’re looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team and play a key role in scaling a fast-growing startup committed to financial fairness and long-term customer impact.
About the Role
As a full-cycle recruiter, you will own every stage of the hiring process—from employment branding and market outreach to sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiation, and closing. You will develop a strong understanding of our business and partner closely with leaders and hiring managers to shape hiring decisions and talent strategies. Your work will span a wide range of functions, including credit risk, data, finance, marketing, design, product, engineering, machine learning, and operations.
You will build high-quality pipelines, deliver an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring teams, and represent our culture in the market. You will also help evolve and scale our recruiting function by introducing ideas, insights, and process improvements that strengthen the entire talent lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
You will lead full-cycle recruiting across multiple departments, shaping sourcing strategies, engaging prospective candidates, managing interviews, and guiding teams through debriefs and decision-making. You will elevate our employment brand by ensuring job content, messaging, and candidate interactions reflect our mission and values. You will design innovative and proactive sourcing approaches across platforms, networks, and research methods to identify top talent and build sustainable pipelines. Through every stage, you will maintain a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience grounded in clarity and consistent communication.
You will advise hiring managers using talent-market insights, funnel metrics, and structured evaluation practices to ensure fair, consistent, and informed hiring. You will negotiate and close offers while balancing candidate expectations, compensation alignment, and internal equity. You will leverage data and analytics to guide decisions and improve funnel efficiency. In partnership with People & Operations, you will support onboarding, process improvements, and system enhancements. You will also ensure compliance and maintain best-practice documentation across all recruiting activities.
About You
You bring deep experience attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent in high-tech environments such as fintech, software, or finance, with strengths in employment branding and proactive sourcing. You communicate clearly and effectively, write with intention, and confidently advise leaders. You are proficient with ATS platforms and modern recruiting tools and thrive in an environment where teamwork fuels success. You can influence and prioritize across multiple stakeholders while remaining adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Above all, you operate with integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to a fair and equitable hiring process.
