Responsibilities
- Monitor patients closely to prevent falls, injuries, or behavioral incidents, ensuring their safety at all times
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, mobility support, and meal assistance
- Support patients with cognitive disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders through engaging activities and behavior management strategies
- Follow care plans meticulously, including adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions
- Certification in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, or similar emergency response training is required
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as needed
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and support residents’ needs
- Valid driver’s license or identification card
