JOB SUMMARY: The Prevention Program Manager I supports the delivery of integrated HIV/ STI services in
addition to PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) services at the
Decatur site, including outreach. This entry-level management role provides day-to-day
supervision of all frontline Prevention staff, supports clinic operations, and various
administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations. The Prevention Program Manager I will
monitor staff performance to ensure departmental goals/ KPIs are met in alignment with grant
deliverables and assist with Prevention focused support group facilitation. This is a full-time,
exempt position reporting to the Senior Prevention Program Manager.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure effective delivery of Prevention Services,
including appropriate staffing for outreach activities and community-based events.
• Cultivate new community partnerships and maintain existing relationships to expand off-site HIV
testing opportunities.
• Provides direct client services as needed to support smooth daily operations of Prevention
programs, including participation in the testing rotation, attending outreach events, and
delivering on-site HIV/STI testing services.
• Ensure that all frontline staff are meeting data metrics including the metrics that relate to grant
specific deliverables.
• Works jointly with other Prevention Program Managers to conduct monthly chart audits,
ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and continuous quality improvement.
• Conduct monthly staff QIQAs to ensure compliance with pre & post-test counseling and service
provision to direct reports.
• Oversees ordering, tracking, and maintenance of medical supplies; monitors inventory levels to
ensure all Prevention activities are adequately stocked and operational with no service
interruptions.
• Coordinates onboarding and training for new frontline staff in collaboration with the current
Prevention frontline staff and other Prevention Program Manager, ensuring staff are equipped
with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.
• Provides administrative oversight of Prevention support groups and regularly attends sessions to
assist with facilitation.
• Identifies new community resources and ensures Prevention staff have access to up-to-date tools, referrals, and support materials to meet client needs effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of PrEP, STIs, HIV/AIDS, knowledge of the target population and past direct
experience with people living with HIV/AIDS a plus.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural setting including target populations, volunteers, agency staff and Board of Directors.
• Ability to be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to possess excellent communication skills (writing, spelling, listening and speaking).
• Ability to cooperate as a team member.
• Ability to resolve problems solving and decision making.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Ability to utilize good management techniques.
• Ability to follow through to completion of assigned tasks.
• Ability to abide by all policies and procedures concerning personnel including conflict of interest
policy.
• Skills in word processing, proficiency in spreadsheet database and presentation software
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in public health, social work psychology, sociology, or and related Health and Human Services field.
- Any equivalent combination of proven training and dependent on years of experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job.
- Completion of HIV Counseling and Testing Course preferred
- Valid State Drivers' license require
Travel:
Must be able to travel between all the PIHC locations and have access to reliable transportation to attend external meetings as needed
