The Senior Product
Manager is responsible for ensuring that the product and marketing efforts
support the company's overall strategy and goals. They are responsible for both
product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product
throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and
customer insights and requirements, defining the product definitions and
roadmaps, and collaborating with HQ cross functional teams to deliver products
on time and profitably. Work closely with sales, marketing, finance and retail
partners to ensure revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals are
met.
Requirements
- Develop and implement product
strategies consistent with company vision.
- Collect and analyze feedback from
customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape strategies and plans.
- Mentor product managers and
associate product manager.
- Lead internal and external
cross-functional teams in process improvements, product development and
quality improvements.
- Ensure HQ team is adhering to
product toll gates and communicating deviations to management.
- Collaborate with HQ product
management to create product plans, roadmaps and manage product life
cycle.
- Participate in line review
meetings with customers as needed.
- Publishing competitive product
benchmarks, compiling, and updating features and program comparisons,
selling price and placement published for sales team use.
- Analyze trends in manufacturing,
design, product, materials, processes, engineering and logistics and
develop long term strategies that integrate these trends.
- Manage product training for
customers, sales & marketing, advertising and PR teams.
- Develop marketing strategies and
campaigns to drive POS at retail and direct to consumer sales.
- Collaborate in the development of
sales presentations, promotions, line reviews, trade/dealer shows, and
marketing events, etc.
- Collaborate with quality team in
China and US to continue process and quality improvement.
- Liaison with engineering,
manufacturing, planning, sales, marketing. quality and logistics.
- Collaborate with US and HQ
marketing teams to develop research project to gather consumer insights,
consumer unmet needs and market gaps, to be incorporated in the product
development process.
- Develop and collaborate with HQ BU
team on development of strategic business plans for new product
categories.
- Analyze and understand product
category financials to drive profitable growth for new product / category
launches.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 5 -7 years of product management
experience.
- Demonstrated success, leading
cross functional teams.
- Developing marketing
strategies.
- Conceptualizing products.
- Creating marketing and advertising
materials.
- Tracking profit margins.
- Project management experience a
plus.
