Sales Associate – Commercial Textiles | LONG ISLAND, NY
Primary target: $60K - $80K base Commission
Position Overview
Posh Textiles is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Associate to join our team in the Long Island Area (Syosset, NY). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and helping customers find the right textile solutions for their projects. The Sales Associate will serve as a trusted resource to designers, architects, hospitality groups, and commercial clients by presenting collections, providing product guidance, managing customer accounts, and supporting projects from initial inquiry through final order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, hospitality groups, and commercial clients.
- Present textile collections and recommend solutions based on project requirements, design goals, and performance needs.
- Manage a sales pipeline, qualify new opportunities, and follow up on leads in a timely manner.
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Coordinate sample requests, maintain showroom displays, and support client presentations.
- Conduct regular client outreach to generate new business and strengthen existing partnerships.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within CRM systems.
- Support sales reporting and contribute to achieving individual and team revenue goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, business development, customer success, account management, or client-facing roles.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand client needs and recommend solutions that align with project objectives.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, customers, and deadlines.
- Comfortable using CRM platforms and digital sales tools.
- Interest in interior design, architecture, hospitality, furnishings, textiles, or related industries.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across sales, design, operations, and logistics teams.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to commercial design, hospitality, architecture, furnishings, or textile markets.
- Prior B2B sales experience.
- Familiarity with the New York design community and hospitality market.
- Experience working in a showroom environment or with specification-driven sales.
