Position Summary
As the first impression of Posh Beauty Lounge, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing daily front desk operations. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and a warm, positive attitude.
ResponsibilitiesClient Experience
- Welcome every guest with a warm, professional, and friendly attitude.
- Provide exceptional hospitality from check-in through check-out.
- Offer beverages and ensure guests feel comfortable while waiting.
- Resolve client concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain a luxury, welcoming atmosphere at all times.
Appointment Management
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
- Manage appointment books efficiently to maximize technician productivity.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails and text messages promptly.
- Monitor online bookings and make scheduling adjustments when needed.
Sales & Retail
- Educate clients on salon services and retail products.
- Recommend products based on client needs.
- Assist in meeting monthly retail sales goals.
- Promote memberships, gift cards, and seasonal promotions.
Checkout & Payments
- Process payments accurately.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Balance the register at the end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate client records and receipts.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain client profiles and appointment notes.
- Assist with inventory of retail products and front desk supplies.
- Keep reception area clean, organized, and beautifully presented.
- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
- Support salon management with administrative tasks as needed.
Social Media & Marketing (Preferred)
- Capture occasional salon photos and videos for social media.
- Encourage satisfied guests to leave reviews.
- Assist with promoting salon specials and events.
Qualifications Required
- Previous receptionist or customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Comfortable using computers and scheduling software.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Preferred
- Experience working in a beauty salon, spa, or luxury hospitality environment.
- Experience with salon software (Mangomint preferred).
- Retail sales experience.
- Social media experience (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
