We are currently hiring for a 2nd Shift - Production Associate in our Ashland location. This position will safely perform manufacturing operations in accordance with job card and engineering drawing requirements to produce quality parts.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Follows all safe working practices.
- Operates production machinery and hand tools.
- Reads and follows all job card requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Works productively and efficiently.
- Maintains the work area in a neat and organized manner.
- Reports discrepancies to production management.
- Performs routine maintenance as required to keep equipment in good working order.
- Complies with Porvair Quality System requirements.
Qualifications / Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Ability to use common measuring equipment (tape measure, caliper, micrometer)
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
