Job Summary
We are seeking a Heavy-Duty Truck Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations and changes, replace filters, etc.
Responsibilities
- Listen to operator issues, conduct inspections, repair engine failures, repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, replace parts and components to maintain vehicle condition.
- Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Maintain vehicle records by logging service and repairs.
- Able to use a computer for recording service, materials used and diagnosis of vehicles.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Heavy-Duty Truck Diesel Mechanic.
- Possess a valid driver's license. CDL is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures for heavy trucks; familiarity with similar industrial equipment is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working in various environmental conditions. Position includes bending, lifting (100 pounds), and climbing as it relates to maintenance.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
