What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Associate - JLR position at Ports America Shared Services, Inc.?
Essential Duties:
- Provide support to customers, account representatives, and internal departments by responding promptly, accurately, and courteously to requests for information.
- Enter, update, and maintain customer and account information in internal systems.
- Assist with monitoring system activity and report issues to management or IT support as needed.
- Support basic system functions and follow established procedures in the event of system interruptions.
- Assist with preparing monthly reports and billing information by established deadlines.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system data as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with company policies.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift: Monday- Friday 7:00am-4:00pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
- Typing speed of 40 WPM.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with web-based applications or AS400 systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Basic understanding of accounts processing and clerical operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
