Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time day-shift position.
- Tuesday - Friday 8:00am - 6:30pm
- Some holidays are required
- Starting at $22-30/hr, commensurate with experience.
- As a Dental Veterinary Technician Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our dentistry department runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting our Board Certified Veterinarian.
- Support preparation and post-procedure care for sedated or anesthetized patients.
- Assist with advanced periodontal diagnostics and procedures, endodontic therapy, prosthodontic procedures, periodontal surgery and oral surgery.
- Be responsible for loading appointments, intake, estimates, discharges, etc.,
- Clean and restock exam rooms, treatment areas, etc.
- Accurately handle and care for instruments appropriately, including appropriate selection of cleaning agents, lubricants, examination of function, identification and assembly and preparation for sterilization
- Operate steam sterilization equipment including routine cleaning and maintenance
- Experienced veterinary assistant
- Experience assisting with veterinary dentistry preferred
- Strong skills in patient handling, clinical support and dental imaging
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Familiarity with veterinary medical software (e.g., EzyVet, SmartFlow) a plus
- A positive attitude and commitment to compassionate care
