TITLE: Dedicated Building Substitute Teacher (Full Time, April-June 2026) - Talbot Elementary
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Talbot Elementary is seeking a Dedicated Building Substitute for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Duties include daily classroom functions, reviewing and implementing daily lesson plans, monitoring and supporting students in their learning, and collaborating with teacher teams around curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Maine State fingerprint (CHRC) authorization (more info).
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
- Schedule: School Year, Full Time (1.0 FTE)
- Assignment: Temporary; coverage needed now until June 18, 2026
- Pay = $28.99 / hr (standard 7-hour day)
- Eligible for ~$500 / month toward a PPS medical benefits plan
- Earned Paid Leave (EPL) provisions as per Maine law
