TITLE: Special Education Ed Tech III - Talbot Community School
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Talbot Community School has several Special Education Ed Tech III openings in both our Functional Life Skills (Bridge) program and our Resource Room. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with Special Educators and will work with students both 1:1 and in small groups. The position may also include mainstream "push in" in core content classes, art, health, and physical education. The successful candidate will also be part of a solid group of Ed Techs in the building.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to manage data management systems, analyze, and synthesize data
- Ability to support teaching and learning
- Ability to manage and oversee schoolwide testing procedures
- Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and others in an open, friendly, business-like manner
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Approval as an Educational Technician III by the Maine Department of Education; in the alternative, Maine provisional or professional teacher certification
- Preference will be given to candidates with a college degree that includes nine credit hours related to an education field such as behavior management or classroom strategies, and to candidates who have at least one year of experience working with students in structured situations

- Possession of or ability to attain ESSA authorization within the first year of hire
