For over 100 years, Portland Forge has been a producer of steel forgings for use in the aerospace, energy, oil & gas, and general industrial markets.
We are currently hiring Forge Operators. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of job tasks in the production of forgings.
Position responsibilities include:
- Operation of forging equipment, trim presses, grinders, saws, and furnaces
- Use of hand and power tools to setup machines
- Use of specialized measuring equipment to verify tooling and to measure parts for conformance to customer specs
- Operators at Portland Forge are multi-functional and will be trained to
perform all functions in assigned in the production area
- Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Proficient math skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
