Associate Attorney

Porter Simon Law is a long-established law firm with its home office in Truckee and serves the greater Truckee/Tahoe and Reno regions. We are seeking a full-time associate attorney to establish their career in its strong and growing firm. 

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of legal experience and a desire to practice in transactional, real estate, and general business areas; although no particular level of experience in any specific practice area is required. Some litigation experience is also a plus. We have delivered premier legal services to the Truckee, Lake Tahoe, Reno, and entire Sierra Nevada region for over 50 years and are proud of our strong, family-oriented firm culture; many of our professional staff have been with us for decades. We encourage client development and community involvement by all members of the firm. We work with and for our clients to protect our local environment and promote core values essential to the Lake Tahoe region. While we all enjoy the Tahoe lifestyle, our practice style emphasizes the delivery of quality legal services and exemplary client satisfaction above all else, which is the cornerstone of our practice.

Attorney applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is also essential. We train and support the professional development of all attorneys and staff. We are looking for a person with the right combination of skills and personality who will fit with the culture of the firm and who is interested in sampling the broad variety of practice areas in which we engage. You will have to opportunity to work with highly skilled and experienced practitioners and find your niche in the law--hopefully for the long term. We have a specific partnership track with identifiable milestones to become an equity owner in the firm.

The position is for a full-time attorney working in our Truckee office, with options for some remote work. A California license is required, and current or future Nevada admission is helpful. Strong connections to the region are preferred. A competitive salary is offered commensurate with experience, along with full benefits.

Salary: $135,000.00 -$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
