Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and appliance repair. This role involves both field service work and driving to various job sites, ensuring that all HVAC systems are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC-related problems.
- Repair or replace components such as compressors, pumps, motors, and valves as needed.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical components and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs.
- Assist with ammonia refrigeration systems when required.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a related field such as construction or property maintenance.
- Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems and appliance repair techniques is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC/R systems.
- Experience with welding is a plus for equipment repair tasks.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transportation to job sites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for diagnosing issues accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
